Then the Basic Leadership School is just the thing for you!
The Basic Leadership School is designed to develop the calling and gifts God has placed in you by giving you teaching and a chance to step out in your gifts. You get daily input and opportunity to facilitate and serve the DTS by leading small groups and evangelism, planning and leading outreach, leading worship and intercession, etc. The BLS provides plenty of opportunity to learn more about who you are and what gifts God has given you. You will be challenged and equipped to step up to a whole new level in life.
Some of the topics covered in the BLS include: small group leading, team dynamics, conflict management, budgeting, event organisation, backward and strategic planning, identity, leadership, etc.
The BLS is a 18-24 month program which includes three phases. First: getting ‘on the job’ training in leadership whilst working on the DTS. Second: being part of the YWAM Carlisle team which includes learning how to set up the next DTS, doing local evangelism and being mentored in leadership in between DTSs. Third: working on a second DTS whilst getting continuous ‘on the job training’.
